Around Summerhill

Just to share a few pictures took around the Summerhill area in Toronto using the Canon G11.

Beautiful Flower Stand

There pictures were taken this morning as we were enjoying the coffee in the Distillery District.  We were drawn in by the two beautiful ladies who were busy setting up the flower stand for their very vibrant lilies.

Lion's Head Provincial Park

This area of the Niagara Escarpment is well-known for its rock formation that from a distance resembles the profile of a lion.  The cliffs of the Niagara Escarpment, including those at Lion's Head, support one of the most ancient and least disturbed forest ecosystems in North America.

Cherry Blossom @ High Park, Toronto.

The High Park’s Sakura trees were planted in appreciation of Toronto accepting re-located Japanese-Canadians following the Second World War.  It is nearly impossible to predict when the trees will blossom and how long they will last.  I was lucky enough to visit at the right time this year.
